threadfork (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is built on a foundation of privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our application. The short version: your data stays on your device.
1. Information We Collect
Local Processing Only
threadfork runs entirely on your device. We do not upload, store, or have access to your audio recordings, transcripts, meeting notes, or any content you create within the application.
Optional Communications
If you contact us for support or join our waitlist, we may collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message. This information is used solely for communication purposes.
Anonymous Website Analytics
When you visit this website, we use Vercel Web Analytics to collect limited activity events such as pages viewed, scroll depth, button clicks, download starts, and checkout milestones. Analytics may include the page path, referring site, campaign parameters, general device and browser information, and approximate location. Vercel provides this data in aggregated form without third-party cookies or a persistent advertising identifier. We do not include your name, email address, meeting content, or raw IP address in custom events. Analytics are disabled when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.
2. How We Use Information

3. Data Storage and Security
All meeting data, transcripts, and notes are processed and stored locally on your device. We have zero access to this information — it never touches our servers.
You maintain complete control over what data leaves your device through exports or integrations.
A random identifier used to connect Stripe checkout links to a browser tab is stored only for that tab. Website analytics are processed by Vercel and retained according to our Vercel plan and settings.
If you ask to be notified about support for another platform, your email address is stored by Resend until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
4. Third-Party Services
threadfork does not rely on third-party cloud storage for your notes. We use Vercel to host the website and provide anonymous analytics, and Resend to store optional communication sign-ups and deliver email. If you choose to integrate with external tools (e.g., Notion, Obsidian, email, calendar), you are subject to those services' privacy policies.
5. Your Rights
Since your data stays on your device, you have complete control. For any waitlist or support communications we may have, you can request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date.
