Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 1, 2025

Our Privacy Commitment

threadfork ("we," "our," or "us") is built on a foundation of privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our application. The short version: your data stays on your device.

1. Information We Collect

Local Processing Only

threadfork runs entirely on your device. We do not upload, store, or have access to your audio recordings, transcripts, meeting notes, or any content you create within the application.

Optional Communications

If you contact us for support or join our waitlist, we may collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message. This information is used solely for communication purposes.

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide and improve threadfork's local functionality
  • To respond to support inquiries and provide assistance
  • To communicate product updates and beta access (with your consent)

3. Data Storage and Security

All meeting data, transcripts, and notes are processed and stored locally on your device. We have zero access to this information — it never touches our servers.

You maintain complete control over what data leaves your device through exports or integrations.

4. Third-Party Services

threadfork does not rely on third-party cloud storage for your notes. If you choose to integrate with external tools (e.g., Notion, Obsidian, email, calendar), you are subject to those services' privacy policies.

5. Your Rights

Since your data stays on your device, you have complete control. For any waitlist or support communications we may have, you can request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date.
